On May 28, BAIC FOTON officially delivered the first batch of 126 fully electric buses to the New South Wales government in Australia, setting a new record for the largest single order of new-energy buses ever made by the Australian government. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough in China-Australia cooperation in the field of new energy transportation and also signifies BAIC FOTON's successful expansion into the developed markets of government contracts. The electric buses, delivered as part of the Greater Sydney Zero-Emission Bus program, will inject green energy into the region's public transport system, speeding up the transition of over 8,000 traditional fuel-powered buses to cleaner energy.
As a model of China-Australia cooperation in the new energy sector, these buses were developed in strict compliance with both EU and Australian ADR regulations, incorporating cutting-edge new energy transport technology. The buses significantly reduce noise and environmental pollution during operation. They feature advanced power systems, excellent energy efficiency, and faster speeds, while also offering passengers a comfortable and safe travel experience with air conditioning, universal accessibility features, Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB ports. Designed to handle the challenging, mountainous terrain of Greater Sydney, these buses offer improved range and zero emissions, meeting the region's year-round green travel demands.
