Alexander Dennis has announced the delivery of a further nine Enviro 500EV zero-emission double decker buses to the MTR Corporation in Hong Kong.
The vehicles, which are part of a larger order of 35 Enviro500EV buses for MTR, measure in at 12 metres long and are capable of carrying up to 86 seated passengers.

A pre-production iteration of the vehicle first entered operation for MTR in June 2024, with additional vehicles following in January 2025, preceding the delivery of the remaining vehicles throughout the next two years.

Designed completely in-house by Alexander Dennis, the Enviro500EV series comes fitted with the Voith Electrical Drive System, which offers a peak output of 410 kW and continuous outputs of up to 310kW. Each bus features a space for one wheelchair user, and every seat comes fitted with three-point seatbelts.
